Airtel has introduced a new STV (special tariff voucher) of Rs.19 which reduces STD calling rates drastically. This STV 19 provides call rates of 1.5 paise per 2 seconds for all STD calls. The tariff validity of this STV is 15 days. So in a way, the monthly cost of STV comes to Rs. 38/month.
This STV is meant for those customers whose calling pattern includes more of STD calls than local calls. For such callers this STV can reduce the expenditure substantially. The effective calling rate comes out to less than a paisa per second or 45 paise/minute.
